Research Interests

Clinical research on the biological mechanisms of and treatments for mood and anxiety disorders. Studies I have worked on focus on the connection between reproductive hormonal changes (or neuroactive steroids) and perinatal mood and anxiety symptoms and medication management. I am also working to understand how the alterations in sex steroids observed in women with PCOS (i.e., increased androgen steroids and changes in the progesterone metabolite pathway) may affect the increased rates of psychiatric disorders observed in women with PCOS.
