Research Interests

My research program involves a multidisciplinary team that is currently focused on resolving ethical dilemmas associated with clinical trials of advanced neurotechnology that require a neurosurgical intervention. In addition, we are interested in characterizing electrophysiological biomarkers to facilitate deep brain stimulation targeting. Our ultimate goal is safely carryout a clinical trial of deep brain stimulation for treating symptoms of schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder. We are enrolling subjects with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder who are interested in learning more about deep brain stimulation.
