Care Philosophy
As an adult cardiothoracic anesthesiologist, my approach to care centers on vigilance, precision, and deep empathy during some of the most vulnerable moments a patient may experience. I seek to be a calm and reassuring presence for the patients in my care, as well as their utmost advocate in the perioperative environment. My background as a classical musician supports the "art" of medicine and constantly reminds me of the humanistic aspect of what we do, while embracing the absolute precision and vigilance required as one of the nation's preeminent cardiac surgical programs. I seek to treat every patient as if they were one of my own family members.
Personal Interests
In my spare time, I enjoy performing classical music and sing tenor with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra Chorus. Additionally, I enjoy spending time with my wife and 2 young children, cycling, skiing, travel, and learning/reading about history.
