Clinical Interests
Dr. Vadim "Eddie" Tsvankin is a board-certified neurosurgeon and Associate Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Colorado. His clinical practice encompasses the spectrum of neurosurgery, with a focus on intrinsic brain tumors, and with an emphasis on complex and eloquent tumor resection, brain mapping, minimally-invasive resection techniques, laser interstitial thermal therapy, and radiosurgery. Dr. Tsvankin Dr. Tsvankin earned a degree in molecular biology with distinction, followed by his MD, from the University of Colorado, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his neurosurgical residency with an enfolded fellowship in surgical neuro-oncology at Duke University Medical Center, accruing numerous research and teaching awards in the process. He has previously served as the director of surgical neuro-oncology for the Colorado Brain and Spine Institute, and directed the Sarah Cannon Program for Brain and Spine Metastases in Denver. He has published extensively in the field of neuro-oncology, serves as an ad hoc reviewer for multiple academic journals, including the Journal of Neurosurgery and Journal of Neuro-Oncology, and sits on the joint AANS/CNS tumor section.
