Research Interests

My research interests center on clinical outcomes and the underlying mechanisms of pathologic responses in patients with burn injuries, trauma, and critical illness. Specifically, our work examines the relationship between burn injury and pain, as well as the role of inflammation in burn shock and its impact on pain perception. I am particularly drawn to translational research that bridges the gap between bench and bedside, with the goal of improving patient care through scientific discovery.
