Research Interests
My research centers upon the vision that all critically ill patients receive data-driven comprehensive medication management. In particular, I am interested in the development and implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) to improve clinical decision-making for medication management, including structuring medication data pipelines for interoperability, methods development for handling high-dimensional medication data, and implementation that connects AI-driven insights to clinicians at the bedside to improve patient-centered outcomes.
I am also interested in how to improve the meaningfulness of scientific discovery through team science and mentorship network and am the author of two books on these topics, Pay It Forward: A Map to Mentorship in Medicine and InteGREAT: How to make great healthcare teams.
