In the past nearly 10 years, she has worked in various clinical roles including crisis mobile response, youth suicide prevention, and IOP, PHP, and Residential treatment for OCD and Anxiety-Related disorders. She has extensive training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Exposure Response Prevention, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, and Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality.
Care Philosophy
Alie Bernard Garza, LCSW, is a clinician with the OCD Program at the University of Colorado and holds an MSW from the University of Washington in Seattle. Her clinical interests include OCD and Anxiety-related disorders (including Panic Disorder, Illness Anxiety Disorder, Agoraphobia, Social Anxiety, etc.), providing neurodivergent-affirming care for co-morbidities such as ADHD and ASD, working with youth/parents/families, and taking a collaborative, strengths-based, individualized approach to treatment.
