Clinical Interests
My primary clinical interests lie within the field of bone and joint infections. I work closely with orthopedic surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to manage complex infections involving bones, native and prosthetic joints, and the spine. I have a strong interest in advocating for evidence based use of oral antibiotic therapy (COpAT) for complicated infections since the clinical efficacy is comparable to intravenous antibiotics but the quality of life of my patients while taking oral antibiotics is vastly better. Academically, my focus is on assessing and enhancing quality metrics in both my own practice and the broader operations of the Division of Infectious Diseases.
