Care Philosophy
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I am deeply committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care that honors each individual's unique journey toward healing and growth. My practice integrates trauma-informed principles with evidence-based and innovative therapeutic approaches to support individuals, couples, and families in navigating life’s challenges and building resilience.
I believe in fostering self-efficacy and empowering patients to reconnect with their inner strengths. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where patients feel seen, heard, and supported. My work is grounded in modalities that are both research-driven and tailored to the specific needs of each patient.
As a licensed provider of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy and a therapist on clinical trials, I am dedicated to exploring emerging treatments that offer transformative potential for healing, particularly in areas where traditional approaches may fall short. I approach this work with deep respect for the science, ethics, and humanity involved in these evolving modalities.
I also incorporate Animal-Assisted Therapy into my practice with the support of my certified therapy dog, a gentle and intuitive sheep-a-doodle. For patients who are open to it, him presence can offer a calming and emotionally supportive environment. AAT has been shown to reduce anxiety, enhance emotional regulation, and foster a sense of comfort and connection—especially for those working through trauma or relational challenges. Participation in AAT is entirely optional and based on each patient’s preferences and comfort level.
Above all, my goal is to walk alongside patients as they move toward greater clarity, connection, and well-being—helping them cultivate meaningful change and a more authentic life.
Personal Interests
Outside of my clinical work, I find joy in exploring the outdoors and embracing all that Colorado has to offer. I love hiking, skiing, biking, and camping with family and friends—activities that keep me grounded and connected to nature. I’m also an avid reader and podcast enthusiast, always curious and engaged in learning. As a lifelong learner, I’m continually seeking new perspectives and knowledge, both professionally and personally.
Public Speaking
Yes
I am passionate about sharing knowledge and building connections through public speaking and education. I regularly teach didactics at the CU Anschutz Family Clinic, to child and adolescent psychiatry fellows. I serve as a guest lecturer at the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work and at Children’s Hospital Colorado, where I present to graduate students and therapists on evidence-based family therapy modalities. My teaching focuses on topics such as evidenced based family therapy modalities, couples therapy modalities, and innovative treatments for SUD and co-occurring conditions.
In my role at the Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic, I actively engage with community providers to raise awareness about our programs. I have delivered presentations to over 60 stakeholder organizations, both in person and virtually, helping to strengthen referral pathways and collaborative care.
