Dr. Spinosa’s academic interests include clinical trials, somatic tumor characterization and targeted therapies, applications of cell free DNA in cancer care, and quality improvement.
Care Philosophy
During both medical school and residency Dr. Spinosa gravitated towards oncology patients, and gynecologic oncology patients in particular, due to their courage, kindness, and often transcendent sense of purpose. The opportunity to participate in cancer care as a surgeon and a medical doctor is unique to gynecologic oncology and further attracted him to the field.

Personal Interests
Outside of the hospital Dr. Spinosa enjoys playing and watching basketball, mountain sports, motorcycle riding, and reading. He is supported by his wife Katie, their dog Rosa and cat Buddha, and a large, loving extended family.
