Clinical Interests
My clinical interests include heart and lung transplantation, mechanical circulatory support, chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) and pulmonary thromboendarterectomy (PTE), and thoracic organ recovery. Other interests include open and endovascular aortic repair and replacement, coronary artery bypass grafting, heart valve repair and replacement (both open and minimally invasive approaches), and treatment of all forms of cardiac pathology. My research interests include mechanisms of right ventricular failure in patients requiring left ventricular support devices, perioperative management of patients with CTEPH, as well as early-, mid-, and long- term outcomes of recipients of DCD heart and lung allografts. I am the Surgical Director of Heart and Lung Transplantation, and the chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) program.
