Research Interests

My research interests revolve around the clinical epidemiology of trauma and combat casualty care, focusing on secondary injury in the absence of appropriate medical interventions. My previous work largely focused on traumatic brain injury and identification of risk factors for poor clinical outcomes, such as genetic risk factors for post-traumatic epilepsy. Additionally, I support research involving the National Disaster Medical System and the joint military-civilian response.
