Research Interests

My primary research interests revolve around investigating the influence of dietary interventions and the gut microbiome on bone homeostasis and healing. I have a longstanding commitment to orthopedic research, with a specialized focus on bone and cartilage physiology and pathology, complemented by a background in clinical medicine. My overarching goal is to identify beneficial gut microbial species and microbial metabolites capable of mitigating common orthopedics pathologies and to develop novel and effective non-pharmacological interventions for improving bone health.
