Clinical Interests
Dr. Heare is an Academic Orthopedic Trauma & Joint Replacement Surgeon specializing in the surgical repair of the most complex and severe injuries to the musculoskeletal system. He has expertise in Orthopedic Traumatology and Post-traumatic Reconstruction of broken bones and injured joints. He received a bachelor of science in Biology from Colorado State University and a medical degree from the University of Texas McGovern Medical School. Dr. Heare completed Orthopedic Surgery residency training at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and fellowship training at the University of Minnesota Regions Hospital Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship. Prior to Denver Health, Dr. Heare was an Assistant Professor at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and a practicing Orthopedic Traumatologist at Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center. Following his orthopedic trauma training, Dr. Heare did additional training in hip and knee replacement surgery at the University of Miami and Denver Health Medical Center. Dr. Heare is an Assistant Professor in the University of Colorado School of Medicine and serves as the Site Director for the Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Denver Health Medical Center.
