I believe in understanding the whole person- emotional, mental, and physical health- in context of their socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, as well as identifying their specific barriers to access the best diagnosis and treatment. I believe strongly that patients should feel safe and cared for no matter their sexual orientation or gender identity and strive to create that environment for all of my patents.
In my spare time, I enjoy running, snowboarding, hiking, music, and reading. I also enjoy spending time with my partner, Garrett, and our dog, Loki.
I have previously volunteered with organizations serving homeless populations, and I also enjoy volunteering with kids at the local elementary school, teaching about science and medicine.
