As an OB-GYN, Dr. Carranza specializes in managing puberty, painful periods, contraception, infertility, pregnancy loss, labor & delivery, postpartum, menopause and everything in between.

Care Philosophy
Dr. Carranza feels honored to be able to help women with very important and intimate moments. She believes every day in the office is different and interesting, and feels she never stops learning. She strives to be a good listener and make women feel heard. Dr. Carranza works with her patients to make tough experiences easier and loves sharing in the joy of their good experiences. Dr. Carranza is a board-certified OB-GYN who grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska. She joined CU Medicine OB-GYN East Denver (Rocky Mountain) in April of 2020. Dr. Carranza most recently lived and practiced in New York City for nearly five years before moving to Colorado with her husband and young daughter. Dr. Carranza completed her Bachelor of Arts in human biology at Brown University in Providence, RI, where she was a member of the Program for Liberal Medical Education. She earned her Doctor of Medicine at Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, RI, and completed her residency at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York. Dr. Carranza is also a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
