Research Interests

My research focus is on the immunologic mechanisms of heart injury and repair. I am specifically interested in cellular based therapies and novel preservation strategies that may prevent or reverse the heart injury that is inherent to transplantation. My hope is to be a part of expanding and improving this treatment option for many awaiting heart transplantation.

Clinical Interests
I am interested in the palliation and treatment of complex congenital heart conditions in infants and children across a spectrum of pathologies.

Care Philosophy
I am a part of a multi-disciplinary team that seeks to provide the optimal treatment or palliation strategy for children with complex congenital heart disease. I am committed to providing a standard of surgical care that honors the trust that children and their families place in us each day.
