I am committed to the discovery of new therapeutic options in both ovarian and uterine cancer, as well as rare tumors, such as uterine sarcomas. I am passionate about quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes during and after surgery. I aim to expand my research in increasing patient education through technology.

Endogenous retrovirus RNA expression differences between race, stage and HPV status offer improved prognostication among women with cervical cancer. Int J Molc Science. Jan 2023.
I am privileged to care for women with gynecologic cancers and pre-cancers, as well as complex benign processes. I perform cytoreductive surgery for advanced cancers, as well as chemotherapy for women with ovarian, uterine, cervical, and vulvovaginal malignancies. I have a special interest in minimally invasive surgery, including robotic-assisted surgery with the DaVinci platform.
I become part of a patient's journey during one of the scariest times in her life. I believe that clear and honest education and good listening are the foundation of this journey. Every woman's goals are unique to her and I strive to collaborate with my patients and their families as a team as we navigate through the decisions about complicated surgeries and treatments.
My family and I are avid outdoors enthusiasts - we enjoy mountain biking, camping and hiking, as well as snowboarding and sledding!
At Colorado College, I was very active in Habitat for Humanity in the Colorado Springs area. Throughout medical school, residency, and fellowship, I have focused on mentoring other learners and quality improvement initiatives within the hospital.
Public Speaking Yes
I enjoy teaching irregardless of my target audience - I enjoy speaking to patients, medical students or residents, physicians or communities to increase knowledge about prevention, recognition and management of disease process.
