Clinical Interests
juvenile myositis, systemic sclerosis
Care Philosophy
My passion is teaching pediatric rheumatology trainees to treat children, adolescents and young adults with all rheumatic diseases, especially juvenile myositis and systemic sclerosis. I teach our fellows to practice patient and family centered care, with the idea that as physicians, our job is to educate patients and families about their symptoms, diagnoses and treatment options, and together we come to decisions about treatment plans.
Personal Interests
I am an avid animal lover and enjoy traveling with my husband Adam, who is a math professor at CU Denver, especially to places where there are exotic animals and/or tropical landscapes. We enjoy hiking Colorado trails with our pit bull mix Hazel and Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Greta.
