Care Philosophy
Dr. Acharya has been practicing since 2005. She is board certified in both Hematology and Oncology. Dr. Acharya has an emphasis in breast, GI and GU cancers and is well versed in all areas of hematology and oncology. She has a strong motivation to care for patients and focuses on their desires and goals. She tailors her treatment plans to the goals of the individual patient and values quality of life above all. She believes in honest and open communication and educating her patients but ultimately allows her patients to choose for oneself based on their values and belief system. Dr. Acharya prides herself in being up to date on the cutting edge of technology. One of her main reasons for being part of the UC Health system is to blend the benefits of a university based system and its resources with the comfort of a community location. In the past, Dr. Acharya has led the cancer program at Littleton Adventist Hospital with being the chair of the Commission on Cancer and co-director of the breast program.

Personal Interests
Dr. Acharya is married with twin children. She loves adventures, travel, tennis and skiing. She has many other interests including music and outdoor recreation.
