Clinical Interests
About Me: I am a Urologist, Urogynecologist, and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgeon who specializes in the treatment of benign lower urinary tract and pelvic floor disorders, particularly in women. Conditions I treat include urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and other conditions of the urinary tract including voiding dysfunction, female urethral stricture, female urinary retention, urethral diverticulum, etc). I treat many women with complications of prior surgery for urinary incontinence and pelvic floor disorders, such as mesh-related complications. I specialize in complex female pelvic reconstructive surgery including minimally-invasive vaginal and robotic (daVinci) surgery and native-tissue repairs. As a urologist by training, I also see male patients, specializing in men with complex voiding dysfunction and other uncommon disorders of the bladder such as Hunner's ulcers. I am Board Certified in Urology and Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery (formerly known as Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery; more information can be found here https://www.abu.org/certification/subspecialties/urps-subspeciality). ............................................................................................................................................... For patients coming from a distance: If you live in Colorado, I am happy to do new patient consultations via video visit (telehealth). If you live outside of Colorado, please contact the Urogynecology clinic and we will do our best to coordinate your care efficiently. My Care Philosophy: I strive to provide comprehensive, personalized care for patients. It is a great privilege and pleasure to help patients live their fullest and best lives. Testimonial from a patient: "The surgery was a great success! I can now run without a diaper or even a light pad!! I am ecstatic. My quality of life has improved significantly. I no longer have to constantly worry about leakage doing my day-to-day and obviously, the exercise without diapers is just amazing. I can play tag with my kids without worry!" I am passionate about promoting awareness of pelvic floor disorders, which are very common but too often patients suffer in silence and either are fearful to seek care or do not realize the many treatment options, both surgical and non-surgical, we have to offer them. I hope to decrease ‘silent suffering’ amongst women and men with these conditions by spreading awareness, knowledge, and increasing access to care.

Care Philosophy
I strive to provide comprehensive, personalized care for patients. I specialize in taking care of women with pelvic floor disorders (incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, urinary fistulas, urethral diverticula, lower urinary tract disorders, voiding dysfunction, and surgical complications). I am Board-Certified in both Urology and Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. I specialize in minimally invasive surgery (vaginal and robotic-assisted laparoscopic approaches) and the surgical treatment of complex pelvic floor disorders. I offer a full spectrum of treatment options, including those not offered anywhere else in the region. I believe each patient deserves a personalized treatment approach. I take every aspect of their condition, preferences, lifestyle, and health into consideration when developing a diagnosis and treatment plan.

Personal Interests
In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, hiking, and backcountry snowboarding.

Volunteer Activities
I am dedicated to improving access to quality health care. I work with ECHO Colorado to improve access to and quality of care for urologic conditions in underserved patient populations. I have traveled to Uganda with the non-profit organization Medicine for Humanity to spread awareness of and perform surgeries to repair obstetric fistulae. I have also volunteered with the CRUDEM Foundation and performed urologic surgeries at Hôpital Sacré Coeur in rural northern Haiti.
