Care Philosophy
My primary role as a clinician educator is to provide clinical care and medical education to trainees on HIV prevention and treatment. I am the Medical Director of our IDGP PrEP Clinical Program which provides comprehensive HIV prevention care for patients and training for primary care providers. PrEP stands for pre-exposure prophylaxis, medication taken daily to prevent HIV. We offer TelePrEP, a completely virtual clinical program to provide clinic visits, at-home lab tests including HIV/STI screening and medications for HIV prevention to patients in Colorado. We also provide in-person clinical visits at the IDGP Clinic at University of Colorado Hospital on the CU Anschutz Medical Campus. We have a dedicated PrEP coordinator who can help with accessing and navigating our services. Anyone in Colorado can obtain access to PrEP via state medical insurance assistance and pharmaceutical benefit programs. Our program's goal is to serve our community to empower patients to remain HIV negative and healthy in Colorado!
