Clinical Interests
Specific areas of my clinical interest include juvenile systemic sclerosis, juvenile localized scleroderma, childhood lupus, and macrophage activation syndrome. I also am involved in numerous clinical and scholarly activities related to both clinical informatics and the transition from pediatric to adult medical care. As a general pediatric rheumatologist, I am also interested in a wide variety of autoimmune and auto-inflammatory disorders affecting children and adolescents.

Volunteer Activities
I have served as team captain for the Arthritis Foundation's annual Jingle Bell Run for the past 8 years. I am a member of the Medical and Scientific Advisory Council for the Arthritis Foundation and the Scleroderma Foundation, and have given talks at educational symposiums for patients and families. I have volunteered as camp medical director for the Arthritis Foundation's Teen Retreat, and have been a small group leader for Juvenile Arthritis Family Day. Outside of work, I am known for my love for animals of all kinds and am a volunteer at local animal shelters.
