Research Interests
I am interested in improving care for people who die in acute care hospitals, nursing homes as well as at home. Our research group has develop Comfort Care Order sets and educational interventions to support providers and ensure people have access to medications for pain and other symptoms and nursing focused care for comfort and support. We have implemented them and tested them at over 50 VA Medical Centers.Publications
