My clinical interests include medical ethics, research ethics, transport of critically ill patients between hospitals, end-of-lief care, and medical education.

I am passionate about systematically improving critical care for children, especially in underserved areas. I love doing this at all levels from promoting the healthcare professional pipeline through work with middle and high school students through continuing education for colleagues through outreach programs for clinicians who only see critically ill children infrequently. I'm also passionate about pediatric ethics and thinking through how to balance children's rights, parental authority, and clinicians' professional identity.

I enjoy working with students in a variety of areas including the Denver Metro Regional Science Fair for local middle and high school students. I volunteer as an instructor and course director for outreach courses on stabilizing critically ill pediatirc patients for hospitals throughout the Mountain West. I also volunteer for several professional organizations including the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities, the American Acdemy of Pediatrics, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, and the American Heart Association.
