Research Interests
My research interests focus on the prevention of noise-induced hearing loss across the lifespan, with a focus on recreational noise exposure. Currently, my research examines music and the potential risk for music-induced hearing disorders. Within that topic, I explore the use of Health Behavior Models to analyze knowledge, attitudes and behaviors about hearing loss and amplified music. Other research interests include examining the relationships between sociodemographic factors and health behaviors, with a focus on audiologic treatment, as well as clinical outcomes of amplification.

Clinical Interests
My clinical focus as an audiologist is on adult and pediatric diagnostics and rehabilitation, with an emphasis on early identification and treatment of hearing loss. At the University of Colorado Hospital, I specialize in hearing aids, tinnitus management and hearing conservation. Within the clinical setting, I am also interested in increasing education programs for the prevention of noise-induced hearing loss.
Care Philosophy
I believe in an evidence-based approach to hearing and balance care. In the tinnitus clinic, we use an interdisciplinary, holistic approach to tinnitus management providing patients with the best skills to treat and manage their tinnitus.
Public Speaking Yes
Available for public speaking, especially in the areas of hearing loss prevention.
