Clinical Interests
My main clinical interested includes the anatomy and physiology of the vestibular (balance) system of the inner ear. Our balance system is amazing! And something we take for granted until there is an interruption in the system. I enjoy working with patients who are struggling with dizziness, vertigo, and/or imbalance and helping them understand the underlying cause of their symptoms. This is often times a stressful situation for most patients and I strive to be a "calm" in the middle of the storm. I recognize the importance of having my patients as part of the team and educating them on the anatomy and physiology of the inner ear. My goal is to have each patient leave their appointment satisfied with the care they have received and with a better understanding of the "hows" and "whys" of their balance system.

Care Philosophy
Patient care is my top priority. Along with providing the best care, I believe in educating my patients on the anatomy and physiology of the inner ear. In doing so, I believe I am helping my patients have a better understanding of their diagnosis and in turn, giving them the power to advocate for their own health care. I have worked at University Hospital for almost 25 years because this is a teaching hospital. I am a life-long learner and strive to have my passion for Audiology passed along to my patients.
