Care Philosophy
My interests include the care of infants at the borderline of survival, inter-professional and team-based family centered care, and pediatric bioethics. Taking care of our smallest and most vulnerable patients and their families has been a long-time passion. Helping teach the next generation of providers how to provide empathetic, humane, compassionate and evidence-based care is my goal.
Personal Interests
I am an enthusiastic cook, an avid bicyclist, and a proud parent.
Volunteer Activities
I mostly volunteer for my professional organizations, the hospitals that I serve, and the educational establishments that are supported. I've worked at the state level on policy and advocacy for children and health care as well.
Public Speaking
Yes
I would like to inspire young adults to become active in health care professions. I enjoy discussing complex ethical concepts, particularly involving newborns and families.
